Now that the fall is here, it’s time to clean up your landscape beds. We have had a hard freeze so it is time to pull and discard all your annual flowers. Pull remaining weeds, cut back perennials, clean up the first leaf litter, and add a layer of at least an inch of mulch if your mulch is thinning out. A good dose of fertilizer is not a bad idea if you did not fertilize late in the summer. Read the directions, but add a small amount around the base of the plant and water in well.
